Gameweek 36 in FPL left us with a mixed emotions. While an 11 point haul from a triple captain is not to be sniffed at, Erling Haaland plus Nico O’Reilly didn’t play in the second of City’s games, Ricardo Calafiori went off at half time with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet. Still Jeremy Doku, Ismaila Sarr and Mathys Tel all hauled to go with Haaland’s 33 points, so 15 points above the average is a positive. Onto FPL Gameweek 37 and there’s still so much to play for in terms of the title, European places and relegation battle, so there are still plenty of points to play for in this game we all love, and hate, in equal measure.

FPL Gameweek 37 Target Fixtures & Players
Arsenal (vs Burnley, home)
The penultimate game in Arsenal’s quest for Premier League glory and it’s one they would of wanted with relegated Burnley visiting the Emirates. In their last home outing the Gunners were celebrating the Champions League final, and are strongly fancied to pile the pressure on Manchester City’s trip to Bournemouth with a win here.
Top picks:
- Christhian Mosquera (5.3m) – With Ben White injured and Jurrien Timber still struggling, the Spaniard is a cheaper and low-owned route into the Gunners defence.
- Leandro Trossard (6.5m) – Has lacked form but has 15 points in the last two outings and offers a cheap route into the Arsenal attack.
- Bukayo Saka (10.0m) – Scored and assisted in his last home outing and has been Arsenal’s talisman time and time again in crucial fixtures such as this.
- Viktor Gyokeres (9.0m) – Scored in the reverse fixture and got two in his last home Premier League game, keep faith with the Swede, if owned, he’s scored against all the newly promoted clubs this season.
Manchester City (vs Bournemouth, away)
After their slip against Everton, City have responded in emphatic fashion, defeating Brentford and Crystal Palace 3-0 each. They won’t give up in their pursuit of Arsenal and with a win expected in the FA Cup final, they’ll head down south to Bournemouth in fine mood, expect three more points and the title race to go to the last.
Top picks:
- Marc Guehi (5.1m) – 15 points in FPL Gameweek 36 showed why he’s now City’s main man at the back.
- Phil Foden (8.0m) – Foden was back to his best against Palace, with two assists, and looks to be pushing for a start against the Cherries.
- Jeremy Doku (6.5m) – Another City attacking player who’s found form at just the right time, another big haul in GW36 show why the Belgian is an interesting differential captain pick this week.
- Erling Haaland (14.7m) –
Manchester United (vs Nottingham Forest, home)
Top picks:
- Harry Maguire (4.4m) – The England man picked up a ten pointer against Sunderland, his third double digit haul of the season, yet he remains in just 1.4% of FPL teams.
- Kobbie Mainoo (4.7m) – 22 points from four game weeks make Mainoo a good value offering for your third midfield slot this week.
- Bruno Fernandes (10.4m) – The Writer’s Player of the Year is a must-have for the last home match of the season at Old Trafford.
Brentford (vs Crystal Palace, home)
Crystal Palace looked like they were focused on one thing, and one thing only, in their recent defeat to Manchester City, while Brentford still chase Europe. The Bees have some great value players in the squad who are well worth a look in FPL Gameweek 37 and beyond.
Top picks:
- Caoimhin Kelleher (4.8m) – The second ranked keeper in the game this season and easily the best in the sub-5.0m bracket, Kelleher looks the best option GK this week.
- Sepp van den Berg (4.4m) – Real quality that is starting to get noticed, worth a crack this week at just 4.4m to free up funds further forward.
- Mikkel Damsgaard (5.6m) – The Dane was superb against West Ham in Brentford’s last home match, and will be looking for more attacking returns here.
Fulham (vs Wolves, away)
Another West London club with an attractive fixture is Fulham, who travel to Molineux to face relegated Wolves. They’re also a team with some solid value enablers/differentials, so don’t be shy in taking a punt on a few of the Cottagers this weekend.
Top picks:
- Calvin Bassey (4.4m) – Mainstay of the Fulham defence who has the most bonus points among Fulham defenders this season. With Joachim Andersen suspended, he’ll lead the backline.
- Timothy Castagne (4.3m) – Attacking full back who offers a route to returns at both ends of the pitch.
- Samuel Chukwueze (5.3m) – The Nigerian is listed as a midfielder but plays very much as a forward and can cause the Wolves defence real problems.
FPL Gameweek 37 Captain Picks
Bukayo Saka (C) – Arsenal’s X-Factor player and you can expect the English winger to be at the heart of everything Arsenal do in this game.
Erling Haaland (VC) – Scored and assisted against Brentford and will lead the line against Bournemouth in a must-win game.
Worth a Punt
Michael Keane (4.5m) – The English defender has had a cracking season for Everton who need a win here, a clean sheet looks possible, while Keane is also a threat at set-pieces.
Harvey Barnes (6.1m) – Two from two but both times he came off the bench. Has the Englishman done enough to start? If so, he could be a real differential this week.
James Maddison (6.8m) – Returned from injury with a substitute appearance in Spurs’ 1-1 with Leeds and looked positive. Can he help save his side against old rivals Chelsea?
Beto (5.0m) – Continue his excellent form with a top finish against Crystal Palace and will relish his chances of more goals at home to Sunderland.
