After we identified four teams to target for the start of FPL season 2026/27, we now look at some of the exciting talents that can light up the Premier League. With clubs spending more than ever, we look at some of the lesser known names that can take the English top flight by storm, and make you look like an elite-level scout as we start to plan squads for the season ahead.
Zadok Yohanna, Brighton
Zadok Yohanna has been signed from AIK in Sweden for a huge fee and with Kaoru Mitoma sidelined, the Nigeria wideman could be thrown straight in by Fabian Hurzeler. Young talent tends to thrive in Sussex, and the fee is an eye opener. He could be a cheap, attacking midfield option to keep an eye on at the start of FPL Season 2026/27.
Hayden Hackney, Everton
English midfielder Hackney scored 11 of his 16 career goals in the last two seasons and it was only a matter of time before a big Premier League club signed him, especially after Middlesbrough lost the Championship Play-off Final. Hackney represented England at U21 level and looks more than ready for this level. He’ll give Everton a significant upgrade in midfield, and his relationship with James Garner and Idrissa Gana Gueye should be a good one to watch this season. He’ll probably be priced at around the 6m mark, which makes him a solid budget enabler for squads.
Victor Munoz, Liverpool
Andoni Iraola’s first signing of his Liverpool reign looks a smart one with Spain international Victor Munoz coming in from Osasuna. Munoz got six goals for the Spanish side last season and made two appearances for Real Madrid, so he’s clearly been highly regarded for a number of years. He scored on his debut for Spain and he looks an exciting replacement for Mohamed Salah as the Anfield side look to rebuild after a difficult season in 2025/26.
Myles Lewis-Skelly, Arsenal
It was a difficult season for Lewis-Skelly in the Gunners title-winning campaign, after a break out year the one before when he looked to have made the left-back spot his own. However, he broke back into the side in his preferred central midfield position towards the end of the season and started the Champions League Final ahead of Martin Zubimendi. It remains to be seen where the young England international will be positioned in the game for FPL season 2026/27, but he’ll like be sub-5.5m which could make him an attractive route into Arsenal’s midfield.
Luca Netz, Nottingham Forest
German full-back Netz signed for Forest to little fanfare in the January transfer window but went on to make seven appearances under Vitor Pereira as Forest comfortably avoided the drop. With Oliver Glasner rumoured to be making his way to the City Ground dugout, the young German U21 international could be one of the players to benefit.
Luka Vuskovic, Brighton
Jan-Paul van Hecke, one of the best 4.5m defenders in the game last season, has left the south coast for Tottenham in a big money deal, while Luka Vuskovic is on the brink of heading in the other direction for £46m. Vuskovic has yet to play a Premier League match, but impressed for Hamburg in the Bundesliga last season, and also played for Croatia at the World Cup. It’s another huge money signing for the South Coast club, but their eye for talent makes this an eye-catching signing and if he’s in the 4.5m bracket, he’s definitely worth a look for squads to start the season with.
Alysson, Aston Villa
Alysson joined Villa for around £10m in January and made three appearances for Unai Emery’s men as they secured Champions League football. He has the profile of a player that’ll do well in the Premier League. He made 34 appearances for Gremio in Brazil and scored three in three for his national team’s U16 side, so looks a hot prospect. With Villa’s schedule made busier with a Champions League campaign, Alysson could be one of the players to benefit in FPL with additional gametime.
Haji Wright, Coventry
Coventry have a tough start on their return to the Premier League, but a good bench option for FPL teams could be American winger Wright. He’s scored 44 goals in 111 appearances for Sky Blues and went to the World Cup with the US, so he should be at home at this level. Of the newly promoted clubs, Wright looks the most exciting attacking prospect. He scored 17 goals in the Championship last season and with a price of around 6m, could be a solid budget attacking option as the season progresses.
