FPL is back after what feels like an eternity. FPL Gameweek 31 was a very strong week, with Bruno Fernandes’ captaincy a masterstroke and Danny Welbeck, Harry Wilson and Anthony Gordon all hauling. FPL Gameweek 32 is fascinating with some huge fixtures across the Premier League card that can help with the final push up your mini-leagues this season. It’s all to play for!

FPL Gameweek 32 Target Fixtures & Players
Manchester United (vs Leeds, home)
United have had the luxury of more than three weeks off and there will be no excuses against Leeds should they not get a result. Finishing third would be a real achievement for the Red Devils this season, and Michael Carrick is pushing for the manager’s job full time, so expect a strong and committed performance here.
Top picks:
- Lenny Yoro (4.1m) – Budget route into the United defence and sure starter with Harry Maguire’s suspension.
- Bruno Fernandes (10.3m) – A must-have, simple as that.
- Matheus Cunha (8.0m) – Assisted in United’s last outing and a superb creative outlet.
- Casemiro (5.7m) – Has looked back to his world class best under Michael Carrick and has a very tidy 24 points from his last five matches.
Manchester City (vs Chelsea, away)
City crushed Liverpool in the FA Cup last weekend and won the Carabao Cup, so they’re on a high and despite Chelsea’s FA Cup win over Port Vale, Pep Guardiola will expect his men to keep the pressure up on Arsenal here. With a double gameweek coming up too, it’s worth a look at the City triple up.
Top picks:
- Nico O’Reilly (5.0m) – Two goals in the Carabao Cup Final, an assist in the FA Cup Quarter Final. O’Reilly looks an essential pick at the moment.
- Rayan Cherki (6.3m) – Showed his class in recent games and a good differential option at this stage in the season.
- Antoine Semenyo (8.2m) – Another goal against Liverpool showed why the Ghanaian is a crucial man for so many FPL teams.
- Erling Haaland (14.4m) – Back in form against Liverpool. Remains the top scoring forward in the game despite a barren patch.
Arsenal (vs Bournemouth, home)
Arsenal have had a difficult time since they last played in the Premier League, losing in both cup competitions. However, they got back to winning ways in the Champions League against Sporting on Tuesday and this is one of the biggest games in the league for some time, with the chance to go 12 points clear of Manchester City, which would leave them a mountain to climb.
Top picks:
- David Raya (6.0m) – Man of the match display against Sporting and you have to wonder how Arsenal would have fared had he started those two ill-fated cup games?
- Gabriel (7.2m) – Arsenal’s player of the season and should remain the bedrock of any FPL defensive line up.
- Declan Rice (7.3m) – Definitely Arsenal’s most reliable midfielder with potential for defensive contributions and attacking returns given his set piece ability.
West Ham (vs Wolves, home)
Nuno Esporito Santo will have pinpointed this as must-win if the Hammers are to stay up this season. Wolves are all-but-down and London Stadium will be bouncing as they look to mount pressure on Tottenham, Forest and Leeds ahead of their respective fixtures this weekend.
Top picks:
- Axel Disasi (4.5m) – A lot of people attribute Disasi with giving West Ham a sniff of staying up and a strong threat at set pieces.
- Mateus Fernandes (5.5m) – West Ham’s top scoring midfielder this season, not done much in the league of late but did score in the FA Cup and has a good fixture here.
- Jarrod Bowen (7.6m) – Best player at the club for years and will be solidify club hero status if he helps keep them up.
Brighton (vs Burnley, away)
Brighton picked up a nice three points against Liverpool last time out and they are in with a chance of European qualification. They head to Turf Moor knowing they need to win, with tricky games against Chelsea, Newcastle and Manchester United in the run-in.
Top picks:
- Jan Paul van Hecke (4.5m) – Reliable defensive contributions output and a strong option for this gameweek.
- Diego Gomez (4.9m) – Real value option, Gomez has 30 points in his last five outings.
- Danny Welbeck (6.2m) – 12 point haul last week and looks up to the task against Burnley this weekend.
FPL Gameweek 32 Captain Picks
Bruno Fernandes (C) – After 13 points last time out as our FPL captain last time out, we’re sticking with the Portuguese for the armband in an appealing home game.
Erling Haaland (VC) – We’ve always known Haaland would bounce back to form and he looked on top of his game against Liverpool in the FA Cup last week.
Worth a Punt
Giorgi Mamardashvili (4.1m) – By no means a reliable defence in front of him but a Liverpool goalkeeper at this price for a few weeks could open up options in other areas of your team.
Leandro Trossard (6.5m) – Less than 1% ownership but seems to be Arsenal’s first choice left winger and chips in with important contributions in big games.
Xavi Simons (6.5m) – Could be one of the main beneficiaries of Roberto De Zerbi’s management so worth a look for a winnable game on paper against Sunderland.
Igor Jesus (5.8m) – Value enabler and has two home games in a row, worth consideration for your third forward option.
